No, vending machines and pop machines dont cause children to gain weight. The kids decide themselves what they want and what they put into their mouths. Honestly, the vending machines are quite convenient when your hungry after school and you have to get to a school activity and your low on time.

For much the same reasons you wouldn’t see a cigarette machine on campus. The presence of such vending machines would promote the use of, potentially harmful substances to a student’s health.
Of course, kids could still get their candy and soda when they are off-campus, but that is no more a legitimate excuse for providing acces to these IN the school than it would be to say that cigarette machines are okay, merely because SOME minors manage to smoke even though they are not supposed to.
